Lot's Wife (diptych)
Diptych 48" x 42"and 48"x 20" Oil on Linen
“Lot’s Wife” (no other name given) and her two daughters must flee the city.
Severed from her home, her friends and all her history she is warned not to look back and yet her memories overwhelm her.
She turns and is extinguished!
After reading a short poem by Nobel laureate Anna Akhmatova

Echo & Narcissus
Echo, a shy nymph with a speech impediment falls deeply in love with the noble, Narcissus.
Narcissus, stately born, egocentric while out hunting looses his way and calls out.
Echo answers the call in her confusing manner but Narcissus rejects the help of this lowborn nymph.
Echo, heartbroken, runs off.
As a fitting punishment Narcissus falls eternally in love with the reflection of himself.
